Emergency First Aid

This 6 hour course meets the revised first aid requirements which took effect in October 2009.  The course is ideal for low risk workplaces or to support those who hold the full first aid at work certificate.

The course includes:

• Recording and reporting regulations
• First Aid Priorities
• Unconsciousness
• Examining a Casualty
• Choking
• Fractures and soft tissue injuries
• Spinal and head Injuries
• Heart conditions
• Burns and Scalds
• Basic Life Support
• Control of Bleeding
• Managing Incidents

This course leads to a nationally recognised HSE approved first aid qualification valid for 3 years and there are no prerequisites for attending.
